Debbie Anderson
Debbie Anderson (DTATI) is a TATI graduate with a private art therapy practice in mid-Toronto. Debbie also conducts workshops for medical and social facilities, women’s groups, high schools and corporations.

Bob Engel
Bob Engel (MSW, retired) was the Executive Director of a children’s mental health centre for 25 years. He was previously a senior manager in the social services department of the Municipality of Durham. He retired in 2013.

William Ma
William Ma (BA) is an Account Manager at a tech company with a background in consulting and finance. He has been on TATI’s board since 2018 and has an interest in the arts and is passionate about mental health issues.

Belinda Ageda
Belinda Ageda is an Arts in Health practitioner and multidisciplinary visual artist with over 20 years of experience in community arts engagement and education. A leader in arts-based wellness, she champions art as an accessible tool to enhance health outcomes and advance health equity.

Donna Betts
Donna Betts (PhD, ATR-BC) is a Past-President of theAmerican Art Therapy Association, and former Associate Professor of Art Therapy and Research Director at the George Washington University. She has been a member of TATI’s board since 2022. Learn more about Donna’s work on her website.

Maria Kotsopoulos
Maria Kotsopoulos is an employment lawyer and partner at Blaney McMurtry LLP. Maria has been on TATI’s board since 2023.

Tasha Nadia Matar
Tasha Nadia Matar (RSW, RP(Qualifying), DTATI) is a mixed race Palestinian-Polish Registered Social Worker and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). She is the founder of Tahrir Therapy, a private practice dedicated to liberation-oriented, anti-oppressive and culturally informed therapy. Tasha has offered art-based therapy services internationally in the Occupied Palestinian Territories in UNWRA ‘48 camps, freelanced at the Centre For Victims of Torture, as well as ABRAR Trauma and Mental Health, serving newcomers and refugees. She is passionate about offering play and art-based trauma therapy for diasporas and displaced people ranging from youth to older adults silently carrying stories of survival in their new homes. Trauma-informed, somatically-focused, and culturally safe approaches are at the heart of her practice. Through therapeutic art and dialogue, she offers a space for voices to be heard, seen and witnessed through community care and art therapy when words or language barriers can’t do justice to the wounds of political trauma.

Honoré Prentice
Honoré Prentice is an award winning fine artist, Black youth mentor, host of boys and men emotional support group (Voice of Men 360), and manager of the Paint Garden studio.
Honoré is a transcendent soul born in Thomazeau, Haiti, and nurtured in the serene landscapes of Ontario, Canada. As a Fine Artist, Art Teacher, Mentor, and Mental Health advocate, his journey embodies the power of identity and in the tapestry of his life, Honoré finds strength in his Haitian roots, reminding us all of the extraordinary resilience within us, even in the face of adversity.
