An Art Hive, or open community art studio, is a welcoming place to talk, make art, connect, share skills, and build community. It is about respect, inclusion, and learning together.
In lockdown due to COVID, having the space to express ourselves creatively in community with others at the Online Art Hive may provide relief from anxieties and stresses.
The Online Art Hive at TATI invites adults 18 years or older who are interested in creating art together to join us on Wednesdays and Sundays, from March 3 to April 21, 2021 at 2-4pm EST over Zoom.
No previous art-making experience is necessary. Spontaneous or self-directed art-making is welcome. Our friendly facilitators will be available to offer suggestions for art-making if needed. The last half-hour of each session will be for participants to share their artwork if they choose.
The Art Hive at TATI is facilitated by TATI practicum students and Cynthia Morin, as part of her major research project for the graduate diploma in art therapy. Cynthia is a long-time Art Hive facilitator and member of the Art Hive Network. Students are supervised by registered Canadian Art Therapists and instructors at TATI.
Please note that the Art Hive does not provide psychotherapy. For individual art therapy sessions facilitated by practicum students please see the TATI Online Art Therapy Clinic.
You are welcome to drop by for any or all sessions. There is a capacity of 12 participants on a first-come-first-serve basis in each session. Registration is required before joining the group for the first time. Please fill out the form below and the facilitators will send you more information and the Zoom link by email.
